The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out.

Geoff's Episodes: The Road to Broadway (#6) & Redefining Success (#66.5)

Tell us about a moment where you felt creatively fulfilled in the last year. There were a bunch last year, but I will choose one: re-learning, practicing, and then performing the trombone in a world premiere musical at Paper Mill Playhouse. I had seldom been so terrified of something and so fulfilled and inspired to continue pushing myself.

Talk about a moment (any moment, not just this past year) where you felt successful. Geez! Why don't you ask us for the meaning of life??? Success has many faces, but I think most recently I feel successful in my personal life. My wife and I had our first child (a son, Grady Alexander Packard) in July, and since then our life has been a series of great joys and great changes. Balancing my life as a new dad with my life as a performer, teacher, husband, writer, student, etc. has been the greatest challenge I have faced and has left me feeling more successful than ever.
