Where are you from? Manassas, VA
Broadway credits: The Addams Family Musical, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Matilda the Musical
How did you hear you’d booked your first Broadway show? About an hour and a half after my final callback, I was in the dressing room at Equity getting ready for another audition. I thought I had done so badly that I had better run to Equity (after I had cried into a chocolate croissant) and audition for other things. My agent called while I was getting dressed, and I cried SO hard, the other girls in the dressing room thought someone had died. It was a torrent of ugly, ugly, mascara-running, couldn’t actually form words, Broadway tears.
What is your favorite event in the Broadway community? I know this isn’t a Broadway event per say, but I love the Thanksgiving parade. It’s so much fun!! You get to see & cheer on all your friends from other shows. It’s kinda like a fancy, costumed, early morning Broadway block party. Hey, we should do that! Why aren’t there Broadway block parties?!
What’s something about Broadway that fascinates you? Oh geez. All of it. Can I please say all of it?
What, other than theatre, has inspired you recently? I’ve been getting back into ballet pretty hard-core. That’s theatre-y though, isn’t it? Crap.
If I could trade places with anybody for a day, I would choose… A sports person. Maybe Derek Jeter? I basically just wanna know what it feels like to be good at sports. I am not so good a sports. Any of them…
To be successful in this business, it takes… Perseverance, determination, and a “never gonna give up” mentality. Also, be nice. I mean, fight fiercely for what’s important to you and for what you want, but be nice to people.
Tell us a secret. It wouldn’t be much of a secret if I told you, now would it?
