The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out.

Vicki's Episode: Out of Town Tryouts (#8)

Where are you from? Seattle WA

Broadway credits: Wicked, First Date

How did you hear you’d booked your first Broadway show? I was cleaning my garage at my house in Seattle when my agent called. Before he said anything, he first asked me if I was sitting down.

What is your favorite event in the Broadway community? Easter Bonnet. It’s always fun to see what the different shows come up with for their skits. And it’s a cool way to raise money for charity!

What’s something about Broadway that fascinates you? How long it’s been around and that it’s still thriving! It’s also a much smaller community than I would have thought.

What, other than theatre, has inspired you recently? The other standbys in my show. They are all so talented and driven. They’re constantly creating and practicing (…when the boys aren’t watching football). I wish I had half their drive!

If I could have coffee with any living person, it would be… Oprah. She’s my everything. Seriously. I love her. If she ever came to our show I honestly don’t think I could function. It’s a problem really.

If I could trade places with anybody for a day, I would choose… Oprah. Next question

To be successful in this business, it takes… Talent, Hard Work, A Good Support System, Humor and Red Wine.

Tell us a secret. I suffer from stage fright.
