The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out.

Asmeret's Episode: Holidays on Broadway (#12)

Where are you from?  Pittsburgh, PA

Broadway credits: The Book of Mormon, Elf, Legally Blonde, Spamalot, Wicked, Footloose

How did you hear you’d booked your first Broadway show? The company manager called me a few hours after my audition. I had no agent, and I had to start rehearsing a few days later.

What is your favorite event in the Broadway community? The Gypsy Robe Ceremony and everything that happens hours before Opening Night.

What’s something about Broadway that fascinates you? How small the community feels at times.

What, other than theatre, has inspired you recently? SCANDAL!!!!

If I could have coffee with any living person, it would be… Will Ferrell

If I could trade places with anybody for a day, I would choose… Ann Roth, legendary costume designer who did our costumes for Mormon (among a million other shows and movies). She is 82 years old, and one of the sharpest, most creative people I know.

To be successful in this business, it takes… Fierce passion and an unshakable determination.

Tell us a secret. When I was eleven years old, I decided that I wanted to go to NYU because Theo Huxtable from The Cosby Show went there and it seemed really cool.
