The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out.

Paige's Episode: Actors' Equity Association (#57)

Where are you from? New Jersey, home of Sinatra and Bruuuuce.

Broadway credits: Beauty and the Beast, Smokey Joe’s CafeSaturday Night Feverand the closed-before-we-opened Busker Alley!

How did you hear you’d booked your first Broadway show?  I was on tour with A Chorus Line, and Jay Binder’s office called my agent. This was before cellphones. Seriously. So I had been badgering my agents to see if I got the gig.

What is your favorite event in the Broadway community? Broadway Salutes in September. Used to be Broadway on Broadway, I hate that they stopped doing that.

What’s something about Broadway that fascinates you? The life cycle of performers and how different perspectives are from generation to generation.

What, other than theatre, has inspired you recently? The apprentices I know, who are just starting out…does that count?

If I could have coffee with any living person, it would be… Jon Stewart. Or the loftier answer, Hillary Clinton.

If I could trade places with anybody for a day, I would choose… Sheryl Sandberg.

To be successful in this business, it takes… energy, strength, support, and a secret love of chaos and uncertainty.

Tell us a secret. In another life I would have been a sportscaster. And I’m secretly in love with Paul Rudd.
