The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out.

Stephanie's Episode: Dance Partners (#2)

Where are you from? Houston, Texas

Broadway credits: Spamalot, The Addams Family, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella

How did you hear you’d booked your first Broadway show? I was on tour with A Chorus Line and we were out in LA at the time. I was literally laying by the pool and got the surprise call and almost had a heart attack!

What is your favorite event in the Broadway community? Broadway Bares (such an unbelievably exciting and exhilarating night for an incredible cause), Broadway Barks (these precious pups and kittens finding homes and its all done in the heart of Broadway in Shubert alley… It’s just such a fun day.)

What’s something about Broadway that fascinates you? The fact that we are doing the same show every night but it can be and feel like a completely new show each and every time. You literally learn something new about the show and how you fit into the story every day.

What, other than theatre, has inspired you recently? I love working on my webserieswith my bestie, Julie Kotarides, called Dates, Mates and Clean Slates .. we’re having such a blast creating it together. I am also obsessed with finding new and interesting spots in NYC at the moment… Literally not knowing how you are going to spend the day and stumbling across new gems in the city!

If I could have coffee with any living person, it would be… I know she’s not living, but I have to do it! Lucille Ball! I want to be her when i grow up…

To be successful in this business, it takes… Being driven, being present, being your truest self and never taking yourself too seriously!

Tell us a secret. I have a cat named Trey McDoogal.
