The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out.

Sara's Episode: Swings (#3)

Where are you from?: Los Angeles, CA

Broadway credits: Catch Me If You Can…..Tour Credits: Legally Blonde, Addams Family, Anything Goes

How did you hear you’d booked your first Broadway show? The story is really funny and completely inappropriate to write here, ask me in person and maybe I’ll tell you.  The PG version, my agents called me.

What is your favorite event in the Broadway community? Broadway Bares! (Duh)

What’s something about Broadway that fascinates you? The community. It’s so corny, but the theater community is really like a second family…..This past birthday I was at an audition, which you would think would totally suck!  However I was surrounded by talented, beautiful and kind women and I thought what a great way to spend the day!

What, other than theatre, has inspired you recently?  Books, I love to read! I am currently on a David Sedaris kick, I want to be his friend.

If I could have coffee with any living person, it would be… Obama…he’s just so cool.

If I could trade places with anybody for a day, I would choose… once again a completely corny answer, but I am perfectly content with being myself.

To be successful in this business, it takes… An wonderful support system. If I didn’t have my amazing family and friends, especially my fiancé Michael Mahany, I would not be able to do it.

Tell us a secret. I get so excited when I walk into a book store, that I have to pee…kind of like a dog.
