The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out.

Cam's Episode: Dance Partners (#2)

Where are you from?: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Broadway credits: The Music Man (Zaneeta), Oklahoma!, Hairspray (u/s Amber), Cry-Baby (u/s Allison), Shrek, Promises Promises, How To Succeed… (u/sRosemary), Nice Work If You Can Get It (u/s Billie & Jeannie).

How did you hear you’d booked your first Broadway show?  I was 17 and my mom, hilarious enough, got a phone call from the casting office directly because I didn’t have an agent and was still in SC.

What is your favorite event in the Broadway community? The Gypsy Robe Ceremony is my favorite! Love opening a new show and being a part of such an awesome tradition.

What’s something about Broadway that fascinates you?  How small a community it is.  Everyone knows everyone some way or another.  Even if that means you have people in common.

What, other than theatre, has inspired you recently?  Love interior design! HGTV is on in my apt 24/7!  Also, So You Think You Can Dance.  Love watching the talent and passion all the dancers and choreographers have.

If I could have coffee with any living person, it would be…  Quentin Tarantino.  I love every single film he’s made!

If I could trade places with anybody for a day, I would choose… Kristen Wiig. She’s so funny, gorgeous and stylish.

To be successful in this business, it takes… Patience, a good work ethic and timing.

Tell us a secret.  I could sit and watch Bar Rescue on Spike all day long.  Literally all day! It is awesome!
