All of the Girls of Mean Girls - Explained!
Mo Brady
One of the many reasons we love Broadway’s Mean Girls is because of the incredible characters portrayed by the show’s ensemble. We wanted to know more about these characters and the moments each actor created to bring these characters to life. Here’s what the eight women told us. (Plus, as an added bonus, three of the show’s female swings shared as well!)

Sonja Acquino
Played by Gianna Yanelli
Character described in three words: Shameless, Inquisitive, Defiant
Memorable moments: When I come out of the bathroom and Damian yells at me.
Favorite Easter Egg Moment: When I lick my hair to slick it back and then kick Ben Cook’s face in the fight.

Grace Akinola
Played by Bria Jené Williams
Character described in three words: Silly, Empathetic, Smiley
Memorable moments: Playing the old, grumpy French teacher.
Favorite Easter Egg Moment: Look out for her funny faces during the group selfie.
Caitlin Caussin
Played by Devon Hadsell
Character described in three words: Preppy, Wannabe, Weird
Memorable moments: She gets to talk about her heavy flow and wide-set vagina in the gym scene! (She’s also the girl with “hairy nips” in the Burn Book.)
Favorite Easter Egg Moment: In the number “Who’s House,” when she spots her boyfriend Tyler Kimble (Ben Cook) with Taylor Wedell (Jonalyn Saxer), and she shoves Taylor to the ground and walks over the couch to her best friend, Sophie Kawachi (Riza Takahashi) and yells, “I hate you, Tyler!” behind her.
Vicky Garcia
Played by Ixchel Cucher
Character described in three words: giggly, gregarious, saucy.
Memorable moments: As a swing we get to play a little with all the character moments that each ensemble lady has. I have the most fun when I get to do some of the iconic moments from the movie, like Danny Devito or crying girl!
Rachel Hamilton
Played by Kamille Upshaw
Character described in three words: Intelligent, Witty, Fun
Memorable moment: Rachel is a WOKE senior and continues to keep her fellow classmates up to date with the important news and also KEEP IT! Her biggest moment is when she calls everyone out for thinking Regina is the end all be all by saying “Regina George is considered the prettiest girl in school and I’m like, Ooooooh White People!”
Favorite Easter Egg Moment: Rachel has many Easter eggs, but my favorite is her friendship with Damian. There are many moments in the show where you get a glimpse of Damian and Rachel’s funny relationship!
Sophie Kawachi
Played by Riza Takahashi
Character described in three words: Quiet, Sensitive, Loving
Memorable moment: When she expresses her feelings about how she feels invisible around Regina George... and no one sees her.
Favorite Easter Egg Moment: In the bathroom stall behind Cady and Regina’s scene before Spring Fling, she and Caitlyn Caussin are behind the bathroom stall doors. You’ll never know what happens behind the door every night.
Dawn Schweitzer
Played by Stephanie Lynn Bissonette
Character described in three words: Strong, Fierce, Sassy
Memorable moment: Dawn’s first impression is sassy as she kicks Cady out of her boyfriend’s seat. Her comebacks are savage, and she hits Cady with “Not unless you’re gonna tickle my back, bitch.”
Favorite Easter Egg Moment: Every time Dawn and Sonja (Danny DeVito) meet each other, we always do our secret handshake. Sometimes it happens up to 15 times in one show.

Lizzie Therman
Played by Collins Conley
Character described in three words: Chill, Insecure, Joyful
Memorable moment: The transformer and “you’re going down slut.”
Favorite Easter Egg Moment: Sexy Corn’s attempted seduction of Marwan.
Taylor Kelly Wedell

Character described in three words: Organized, Ambitious, Eager
Memorable moment: My solo in “Stop” about having a tattoo that says “bucket” in Chinese. And yes, every night, Craig, one of our hair dressers, draws “bucket” in Chinese on my wrist. I have had so many friends think I’ve gotten a tattoo.
Favorite Easter Egg Moment: Every show, l take a poll during the “Wednesday’s we wear pink” lunchroom scene. If you watch, I create the poll during the first classroom scene, then spend the second lunch room scene walking around so everyone can take it.
