The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out.

"I'm Still In Shock!"

The Ensemblist

Last week, podcast guest Leah Hofmann said goodbye to the cast of Something Rotten!, after appearing in both the Broadway and National Touring productions. After sharing her thoughts on Facebook, she allowed us to reprint them here.

On Sunday, I experienced one of my most fulfilling nights working in the theater, both on and off the stage. My “Something Rotten!” Family gave me the most glorious, lovely send off event. THANK YOU for the speeches (Rob McClure!!!! I’m still in shock!), your words, your moments, your cards, your champagne, your posts, your thoughtful, Artsy gifts (ya’ll so talented!!), and your laughs. I’m still sifting through the memories and emotions, and I am forever grateful for the entire SR journey.... the full Fifteen months... from Broadway to the First National tour! Thank you to the entire creative team for bringing me onboard and for allowing me to continue telling this heartfelt, charming story across the country. Thank you cast and company for inspiring me, and encouraging me to dive further into creativity and artistry. I could go on and on with how much I love this company and show, and I know I will never stop loving how much we laughed together! (And of course Thank you to the one and only Angie Schworer for paving the way for me, a humble showgal!)
But I must, must, MUST wish Sarah Taylor a most happy Rotten Opening!!! Welcome to the Renaissance, beautiful lady!!

Parting is such sweet sorrow.... I miss you all already, but I look forward to many reunions and laughs and Project Runway Barbies to come!! We are only just getting started!!
